This master's degree is aimed at the training of experts in the application of the gender perspective to professional tasks, in the treatment of gender violence, and aims to prepare professions to apply the “gender” category to research in the fields of legal, human and social sciences.

The general objective of the master's degree is to establish the theoretical and methodological basis necessary for identifying situations of gender inequality and indicators of gender violence. It seeks to open new paths of knowledge in research on gender relations, designing, implementing and evaluating routine actions that aim to achieve equal opportunities and treatment between men and women. It also seeks to find better ways for treating and eradicating violence in the family and eliminating social and structural violence against women.

The Master consists of 60 credits distributed in a Compulsory Module, a specialization Module, an elective Module, and the Master's thesis.

The study mode is full-time (60 credits/year) or part-time (at least 12 credits/year).

Students must take one of three specializations. The specialization will appear on the diploma.

1) Juridical Sciences and Gender Violence. Designed to train experts or professionals working to raise awareness of and prevent gender violence, as well as those working in the care of its victims.

2) Human and Social Sciences. Designed to train people with expertise in studies of gender in the fields of the Humanities and Social sciences. It is especially designed to promote gender research.

3) Equality Agent. Designed to train experts whose profile is that of an equality agent defined by Law 3/2007, of March 22, for the effective equality of women and men.
